Ajaccio to the village of Piana

Meet at Ajaccio bus station in the early afternoon. Take the local bus (at your own expense) to the village of Piana, one of the most beautiful villages in France. Settle into your accommodation.

Day 2

The Calanques of Piana

A magnificent day's hiking in the heart of the Calanques de Piana. We offer you a choice of several hikes to suit your mood: you can walk down to a pretty beach in the Ficaghjola cove (1 hour), or do a loop in the calanques (3h30).

Day 3

Scandola and Girolata

Morning transfer through the calanques of Piana to reach the start of the walk. Your route begins at a pass overlooking the gulfs of Porto and Girolata, separated by Capu Senino. You take the Guy le facteur path, which leads through thick maquis to the beautiful Tuara beach, an inviting spot for a swim. The path then drops down to the cove of Girolata and the hamlet, protected by a Genoese fortress. In the afternoon, take a boat to the Scandola nature reserve. You may be lucky enough to spot a fishing eagle, a dolphin or even a whale. At the end of the visit, the boat will disembark you in Porto, where you will spend the night.

NB: In the event of bad weather, the boat trip may be cancelled.We propose an alternative walk along the coast

Day 4

The Spelunca gorges

Transfer by taxi to the typical mountainside village of Ota. This will be the starting point for your walk along the Mare a Mare Nord. The route leads down to the river, where you will come across numerous Genoese bridges before entering the gorges. The Spelunca path bears witness to the ancient road networks that have spanned the centuries. After a steep climb, you reach the pretty village of Evisa, where you can spend 2 nights.

Day 5

The Aïtone forest

The taxi will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the heart of an immense forest. Your walk will take you through the forest and along the river. Along the way, you'll come across running pigs, cows, a suspension bridge that you'll have to cross, waterfalls, natural pools and a chestnut-themed trail. All in all, a great day's adventure before heading back to the village of Evisa.

End of your stay in Ajaccio

In the morning you can take the public bus (at your own expense) to Ajaccio.

Programs have been drawn up according to the latest information available at the time of writing: imponderables are always possible and situations beyond our control may alter the course of the program.

We offer comprehensive multi-risk insurance specifically adapted to our adventure trips (contract no. 7482 Assurinco). 

The rates are as follows: 4.00% of the price of the trip for French residents, 6% of the price of the trip for residents from the European Union (EU) outside France. For non-EU residents, the rate is €90 per person. See insurance details.

    including a starter, main course and dessert. Meals on D2 in Piana, D3 in Porto and D5 in Evisa are on your own.

A minimum of 2 people is required to register. For safety reasons, we cannot accept single adults accompanied by one or more children (under 16) on this tour.

Self-guided tour. We provide you with a travel pack with IGN maps and a complete topographical guide produced by our team. During your hike, our 24-hour assistance service will also be able to answer any questions you may have and, if necessary, give you advice on how to make the most of your stay.

Luggage transfers

Only your personal belongings for the day and your picnic. Luggage is transported by vehicle. If you wish to carry your own belongings, please contact us for a reduction.
