We thank you for a wonderful organisation of our GR Nord trip - we really enjoyed ourselves and were very happy with your organisation and help....
The northern part of the GR20, considered the more difficult of the two, is also renowned for its exceptional beauty. The trail stretches from Calenzana to Vizzavona, covering around 100 km through the mountains of Haute-Corse. It takes 9 stages to complete, with an average of 6 to 8 hours of walking per stage.
The trail passes through magnificent places such as the Bonifatu Forest, the high ridges of the Monte Cinto massif, and the Nino and Capitello lakes. The most popular section runs from Vizzavona to Bonifatu.
As specialists in the GR20, we offer a variety of itineraries, either in groups with a guide or on your own for a more self-guided experience. You can choose between traditional options with a rucksack and overnight stays in mountain huts or lighter formulas with a light rucksack and overnight stays in gîtes or hotels for those looking for a little more comfort. For a personalized experience, we can organize private departures or adapt an existing program.
We enjoyed our stay serenely without worrying about accommodation, transport, meals...

The GR20 North is characterized by steep gradients and technical sections. It is often considered more difficult than the southern part of the GR20. Although some stages are shorter, they remain very demanding, with steep, rocky sections and challenging descents.
The best time to do the northern part of the GR20 is generally from June to September, when the weather conditions are most favourable and the temperatures pleasant for hiking. July can be a good alternative to avoid the early season crowds. The busiest periods are late June and early September. It is important to note that, depending on the year, snow can remain until early summer on many of the high altitude sections.
Accommodation is mainly in PNRC refuges, with the option of sleeping in dormitories or tents. At Asco, Vergio and Vizzavona, the GR20 crosses the road, offering the possibility of sleeping in private gîtes or hotels. However, this may mean that the stages are divided up differently.
