Start of your stay in Soccia
Check-in at your hotel in Soccia. If you arrive in the morning, we suggest a 4-hour walk in the forest.
Creno Lake
From the village of Soccia, your hike will begin with a climb to the legendary Lac de Creno, Corsica's only mountain lake nestling in the heart of a magnificent pine forest. Here you can discover water lilies, pozzines (meadows dotted with waterholes) and some rare specimens of Drosera, a carnivorous plant.
From here, the route becomes wilder and more mineral. It winds its way up along the River Zoicu, offering breathtaking scenery, before rejoining the GR20 and the Camputile plateau. The route continues with a climb to the Bocca d'Acqua Ciarnente, for an immersive experience in the heart of Corsican nature.
Lake Nino or Lake Goria
You can choose between two hikes: either Lake Nino or Lake Goria. These two glacial lakes give you a real sense of freedom. On the way up to Lac de Nino, you'll discover the source of the Tavignano. Nino is surrounded by impressive pozzines and wild, free-roaming horses. To reach Goria, follow the course of the Giovanaccia stream via the Lenze sheepfolds.
The Zoicu gorges and Soccia
You cross the Camputile plateau and descend through the Zoicu gorges. On your way back to Soccia, the route takes you past the Izzola and L'Arate sheepfolds, before reaching the Croix car park and the village. End of your stay in Soccia.
